Job summary

Hansen & Adkins Auto Transport, Inc. seeks a Fleet Asset Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of fleet assets and drive optimization across utilization, maintenance, and compliance.

You will coordinate with Finance and Safety to ensure cost-effective asset strategies and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include asset acquisition, auctions, and the implementation of telematics and in-cab camera systems, with a 25% travel expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation Management, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years managing fleet assets in trucking or auto-haul with FMCSA/DOT knowledge.
• Proficiency with fleet management systems and telematics (ELD, cameras).
• Experience with licensing, permits, IFTA.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills for asset performance and costs.
• Experience with auction and salvage disposition and fleet maintenance practices.
• Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improvements.
• Excellent analytical thinking, organizational, project management, communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of fleet assets from acquisition to retirement.
• Manage auctions and salvage to reduce storage costs.
• Leverage fleet systems to optimize utilization and fuel efficiency.
• Monitor maintenance costs and advise asset allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with CFO on fuel incentive programs and reporting.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance and telematics implementation.

• Travel as needed (approx. 25%).
