Job summary

Technical Source is seeking an Inorganic Chemistry Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and qualify sophisticated analytical instrumentation across our pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environmental, and industrial customers.

You will travel to customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and train users, while documenting service activities and building lasting relationships with laboratory personnel and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting or maintaining analytical laboratory instrumentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain analytical lab equipment across customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment qualifications.
  • Install new instrumentation and train customers on proper operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Document service activities and manage parts inventory.
  • Travel throughout territory to support customers.
