Job summary

Zipline is hiring a Ground Systems Field Technician to install, commission, and maintain ground-system electrical, network, and mechanical systems at field sites. You will ensure installations meet standards, troubleshoot basic faults, and keep thorough records of surveys and maintenance actions.

The role involves outdoor work, travel, and hands-on problem solving. You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams, follow safety procedures, and contribute to improving installation

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and network fundamentals.
• Ability to read manuals and safety procedures.
• Experience with inventory management and organization.
• Comfort with outdoor, outdoor-weather work.
• Flexibility for shifts including days/evenings/weekends and travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, and quality-check ground-system installations at Zipline sites.
• Diagnose and resolve basic faults within the defined scope; not electricians-level tasks.
• Maintain and upgrade ground-system uptime and reliability.
• Document issues and actions using company ticketing platforms.
• Keep records of site surveys, installations, maintenance actions, and troubleshooting steps.
• Manage tools, calibration equipment, and vehicles accountability.
• Follow safety standards and SOPs while improving installation guides.
