Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking an Automated Driving Performance HIL Infrastructure Engineer to join the ADAS performance team. The role focuses on building and integrating simulation infrastructure, models, and sensor representations within a real-time HiL environment to evaluate ADAS features like automatic emergency braking and lane keeping.

Hybrid work is offered and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

Experience with model, software, or hardware-in-the-loop control system simulation, especially with dSPACE HiL and Simulink.
Vehicle controls system experience (ADAS, chassis controls, powertrain controls) in algorithm development or calibration.
Experience with CAN or automotive Ethernet.
Experience in autonomous driving software development, calibration, design/release, testing, or validation.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience with 3+ years in HIL simulation and test execution.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

Create and integrate models, software and hardware into our simulation infrastructure, including Simulink models, 3D road networks and sensor models.
Manage hardware-in-the-loop simulators (dSPACE) to support automated driving code development and validation.
Collaborate with the ADAS community to reduce reliance on physical testing via simulation.
Advance the development of the core co-simulation infrastructure.
Explore new technologies and methods to improve system capability, efficiency and robustness.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
