Job summary

Responsibilities include batch loading, subject analysis, and troubleshooting data issues, ensuring accuracy and timely access to resources across USF libraries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years of work experience in a library.
• SB 1310 outlines substitution rules for postsecondary education.
• Related work experience may not substitute for required licensure or certification.
• High school diploma-based qualifications are exempt from SB 1310.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in CS, information management, library science; 2 years cataloging in academe.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cataloging of physical formats across campuses and departments; use OCLC Connexion to retrieve records, enhance bibs, create items/holdings, verify headings and authorities, and track statistics.
• Perform database maintenance and data analysis on large data sets; execute batch updates and global changes in the library database.
• Assist with cataloging of electronic formats; track e-resource purchases, verify URLs, and batch load/activate titles in Alma.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
