Job summary

DARCARS of Frederick is seeking an Automotive Valet to play a key role in customer satisfaction and the dealership's daily operations. You will manage lane flow, assist customers, and help park and retrieve vehicles with care.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, excellent communication, and a commitment to service. You may lift items up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods in varying weather; detailing and manual-vehicle experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.
• Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Requires ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
• Requires ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Detailing experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and directs them to the right places for parking or vehicle retrieval.
• Directs customers to their destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles.
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles.
• Maintains efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as service tickets are generated.
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehicles to/from the shop as needed.
• Provides shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Reports safety or policy concerns to management.
• Keeps the service area clean and safe.

For this role, you'll need:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable, safe driving record
• Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Detailing experience is a plus
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
• Greets every customer with a smile

• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary.
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Assist in dealer exchanges
• Other duties as assigned
