Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is seeking an Automotive Valet to play a key role in customer satisfaction by managing lanes and moving vehicles throughout the dealership.

You will greet customers, assist with service write-up, and help maintain a smooth flow of vehicles while upholding safety and courtesy. This entry-level role offers benefits like a 401k, employee discounts, and opportunities for internal advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable, safe driving record.
• Strong communication skills with customers and DARCARS employees.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Detailing experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets every customer with a smile and directs them to their vehicles.
• Directs customers to parking or retrieving their vehicles.
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles.
• Maintains efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as tickets are generated.
• Moves client vehicles to and from the shop as needed to complete service visits.
• Provides shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Reports safety or policy concerns to management.
• Maintains cleanliness of the service area and surrounding driveways.
• Assist in dealer exchanges and other duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner

• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles
• Assists with efficient vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated.
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehiclesto and from the shop andanything else they may need to complete the service visit
• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary.
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Assist in dealer exchanges
• Other duties as assigned
