Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Chicopee, MA is seeking an Automatic Assembly, Set Up & Operate technician to help run and maintain the automotive timing chain assembly lines.

The role involves setting up and operating machines, performing preventive maintenance, changeovers, and ensuring quality standards while meeting production schedules. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2–5 years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and basic computer skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 2–5 years of experience running multiple machines and performing preventative maintenance

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet.
• The ability to perform a more comprehensive PM on the machines including but not limited to oil changes.
• Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand the alarm messages and correct the issue.
• The assembly line includes roller link assembly, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, endless operation, washing, final inspection, and packing.
• Maintain production schedules, quality control records, chain assembly records, shipping charge numbers, and traceability records; refer unusual problems to supervisor.
• Prepare test samples for quality control per work standards; record production and other data.
• Utilize a machine-monitoring system to record downtime.
• Detect faulty operation or defective material and report to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as required
