Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive is seeking an Assembly Operator responsible for setting up and operating the automotive timing chain assembly line. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle changeovers, and ensure quality across the production process.

The role requires teamwork in a fast-paced environment and adherence to work standards. Responsibilities include line setup, troubleshooting, record-keeping, downtime tracking, and safe operation of equipment such as hand trucks and hydraulic lifts.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience running multiple machines and performing preventative maintenance.
• Safety first mindset.

• Must have good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use material handling devices such as hand trucks and hydraulic lift trucks.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the PM Check Sheet.
• The ability to perform a more comprehensive PM on the machines including oil changes.
• Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand alarm messages and corrections.
• The assembly line includes roller link, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, endless operation, washing, inspection and packing.
• Adhere to work standards, maintain production schedules, quality control records and traceability for each charge.
• Prepare test samples for quality control per work standards and record production data.
• Utilize a machine-monitoring system to record downtime.
• Detect faulty operation or defective material and report conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Perform other similar duties as required.
