Secor's Volvo in New London is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our growing team!

Compensation:

• $16.94–$30.00 per hour, plus production bonuses.
• Actual compensation within the posted range will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, skills, and applicable compensation plan.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree preferred, but not required.
• ASE certifications preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, including experience working on vehicles.
• Knowledge of automotive shop equipment, including wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, and related tools.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented approach, strong work ethic, and flexibility.
• Good references and demonstrated reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to oil changes, fluid-level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, wheel bearing replacement, sensors, and other vehicle repairs.
• Diagnose vehicle systems and perform repairs involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, and other automotive systems.
• Prepare estimates and diagnose vehicle concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems in accordance with dealership standards.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional repair shop.
• Communicate effectively with customers, service advisors, and other dealership personnel.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Provide a customer-centric experience with a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations.
