Job summary

Secor Volvo Cars in New London, Connecticut is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our growing team. You will perform maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, and diagnostic work, ensuring high quality service for our customers.

We offer an hourly wage range of $16.94 to $30.00 per hour, plus production bonuses. Starting pay is determined based on experience and the applicable compensation plan, with opportunities for ongoing training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience as automotive technician or mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, fluid-level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, wheel bearing replacement, sensor replacement, and other vehicle repairs.
• Diagnose vehicle systems and perform repairs involving engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, and other automotive systems.
• Prepare estimates and diagnose vehicle concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems in accordance with dealership standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional repair shop.
• Communicate effectively with customers, service advisors, and other dealership personnel.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Provide a customer-focused experience with a genuine desire to exceed customer expectations.
