Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an automotive technician in Kenner, LA. You will perform repairs and maintenance on moving vans and box trucks, with opportunities to assist experienced mechanics on complex jobs.

Required are 2+ years in auto repair, a valid ASE certification (with potential to gain two more within a year), and a complete set of tools. On-site work, with benefits and on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License Class A, B or C.
• At least 2 years of auto repair experience.
• 1 ASE certification (ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within first year).
• Must have a complete set of tools for auto repair and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a mechanical shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential repairs on a range of vehicles including moving vans and box trucks.
• Conduct maintenance such as oil changes and tire repairs, with potential warranty work.
• Assist skilled mechanics with more intricate repairs as needed.
• May drive a Budget Truck on public roads as part of duties.
