AutoNation, one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, is seeking an automotive technician with solid mechanical knowledge to service vehicles and follow supervisor directions and published procedures.

You’ll stay current with diagnostic methods, perform repairs to dealership and factory standards, participate in training, and document work clearly on repair orders. Competitive pay, benefits, and nationwide growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• General mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• ASE certification or successful pre-employment test preferred.
• Graduate of mechanical vocational trade school or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay current in diagnostic methods and service techniques.
• Perform repairs per repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Follow dealership and factory repair procedures for warranty work.
• Participate in service technician training programs.
• Record cause of failure and work performed on repair orders.
• Communicate with service management about diagnosis and status.
• Follow safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes and chemicals.
