CJ’s Tire & Automotive in Whitehall, PA is seeking an entry-level trainee automotive technician to gain hands-on knowledge in tire and automotive services. The role focuses on learning company policies and procedures while working toward independent performance.

The trainee will perform tire services, battery installations, oil changes, and routine maintenance, aiming to develop skills to operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress professionally.
• Must complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Performs tire services, battery installations, and oil changes.
• Performs maintenance services and multi-point inspections.
• Notates conditions observed on vehicles during service.

Summary of the Position:

To provide timely and error-free tire and Automotive services following established company policies and procedures. Our goal is for this trainee to gain knowledge and experience needed to work independently and become a successful automotive technician.

Key Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs tire services, battery installations, oil changes, maintenance services, and multi-point inspections notating conditions that exist on vehicles.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Work with fellow associates as a team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Any additional duties assigned by the store Manager.

QualificationsExperience / Education / Other Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Have a valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving history and access to reliable transportation
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to at least 50lbs, often repetitively.
• Must be able to adapt to severe climate variances.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
