Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Chesterton is seeking a Journeyman Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and air conditioning.

You’ll test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues and verify repairs, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. ASE Certification with A-level qualifications is required, and a valid driver's license is expected.

Qualifications

• Certified technician with journeyman/master qualifications or equivalent.
• ASE Certification is required with A-level qualifications.
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment and tools.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles including engine and transmission.
• Service electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC.
• Test-drive and verify repairs using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ensure customer safety and satisfaction throughout the service visit.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

As a Journeyman Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Previous experience as a certified, master, or journeyman technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• ASE Certification required with A-level qualifications
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teamwork mentality and ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
