Job summary

Cotulla Education, home to the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, Tidewater Tech, and American Lineman College, is seeking instructors to deliver automotive technology instruction in both day and evening classes at our Norfolk campus.

Location: 4535 E Princess Anne Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Compensation: up to $31/hour. Schedule: Monday–Thursday with Fri/Sat/Sun off; shifts 4:00 PM–10:30 PM or 12:00 PM–10:30 PM. We offer a 5-day paid instructor training program and strong benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum three (3) years of practical automotive industry experience.
ASE Certification equal to the level of classes taught (preferred).

Responsibilities

Deliver automotive technology instruction in classroom and lab settings.
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and performance; maintain accurate records and submit required reports.
Support curriculum development, course preparation, equipment maintenance, and student retention initiatives.
Communicate student concerns, attendance issues, and other matters requiring attention to the Program Coordinator.
Participate in required training, professional development, and instructor development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
