Cox Automotive - USA is hiring Automotive Technician II at our Manheim Nevada location. This mid-level role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across gas, diesel, and electric vehicles. You’ll work with a team to diagnose issues, source parts, and ensure quality workmanship.

The role offers growth toward senior tech responsibilities and exposure to OEM recalls, ensuring ongoing skill development and a path to advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• ASE Certification: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 when required by leadership.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services (PMs), including oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Replace parts and components according to manufacturer specifications and shop standards.
• Perform light fabrication, welding, or modifications when needed.
• Use scan tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Accurately troubleshoot drivability issues, electrical problems, and intermittent concerns.
• Determine root causes of failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Escalate highly complex or unusual issues to senior technicians while assisting in diagnosis.
