Job summary

Monro, Inc. is seeking a Technician in Columbus, IN to perform basic diagnostics and routine maintenance per manufacturer specs and Monro standards. The role supports a guest-focused service approach and requires effective communication of issues and solutions.

You earn a flat-rate, performance-based pay of $25.00–$40.00 per hour, with incentives, paid time off for full-time teammates, ASE certification reimbursement, tool purchase options, and opportunity for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to properly identify required repairs.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle and document needs.
• Assist in inventory management, pulling tires and parts, stocking inventory.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure guest-ready condition.
• Follow safety standards including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per Monro’s Road Test policy while observing traffic laws.
• Adhere to company policies and governmental standards, including ANSI/OSHA.
• Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training.
