Job summary

Scalnek Ford in Lake Orion, Michigan is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. You will work in a growing service department at a new state-of-the-art dealership facility with opportunities for hands-on training.

ASE certification is preferred, and candidates should have a basic tools toolkit and a team-oriented mindset to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ASE certification or relevant certification is a plus.
• Experience as Automotive Technician or similar role preferred.
• Understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic techniques.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Basic toolset required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Diagnostics: Perform thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Repair and Maintenance: Complete repairs and maintenance following manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.
• Documentation: Accurately document services performed and parts used.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets high-quality standards and customer expectations.
