Job summary

CJ’s Tire & Automotive in Lansdale, PA is seeking an experienced automotive technician to provide inspections, diagnoses and repairs. You will document specifications and communicate findings clearly to customers and sales staff in a fast-paced shop.

Must have 2+ years of tech experience, PA inspection/emissions licenses, and own tools. Candidates should lift up to 50 lbs, be able to work without late evenings, and complete pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years automotive technician experience required.
• PA inspection and emissions licenses, and Mobile Refrigeration Certification (609c) required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have your own tools.
• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to at least 50lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Candidates must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and error-free inspections, diagnoses, and automotive repairs following established company policy and procedures.
• Complete service inspections supporting customers requested service while clearly documenting the manufacturer specifications/ tolerances.
• Communicate technical aspects of repair to customer when asked by salesperson or manager.
• Perform approved vehicle repairs using established company and industry guidelines.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Key Essential Responsibilities

• Provide timely and error-free inspections, diagnoses, and automotive repairs following established company policy and procedures.
• Complete service inspections supporting customers requested service while clearly documenting the manufacturer specifications/ tolerances, which will support the salesperson in communicating conditions to the customer.

Experience / Education / Other Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years automotive technician experience required
• Have a valid PA inspection and emissions licenses, and Mobile Refrigeration Certification (609c)
• Have a valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving history, and access to reliable transportation
• ASE Certifications preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Have your own tools
• Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to at least 50lbs. (on occasion weight may exceed 50lbs)
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
