Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited automotive technology program preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of automotive technician experience in a dealership or independent shop.
• ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with dealership service software and diagnostic tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Complete repairs and services per manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Communicate with service advisors to explain diagnoses and estimate completion times.
• Document all work using the dealership's repair order system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Stay current with latest automotive technologies and training.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment proficiently.
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians as needed.
• Test drive vehicles to confirm proper operation and quality repairs.
