Job summary

Beechmont Automotive Group in Cincinnati is seeking an Automotive Technician with repair experience to join our busy service department. We offer factory training to become brand familiar, and we provide an air-conditioned shop with family-friendly hours.

You'll perform diagnostics, conduct inspections, complete repairs to manufacturer specs, communicate with service advisors, document work, stay updated with technology, and mentor less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited automotive technology program preferred.
• 2-5 years as an automotive technician in dealer or shop setting.
• ASE certifications or manufacturer training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record required.
• Proven experience with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with dealership service software and diagnostic tools is a plus.
• European automotive experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety issues.
• Complete repairs and services per manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors to clearly explain diagnoses, recommend necessary repairs, and accurately estimate completion times.
• Document all work performed using the dealership's repair order system.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and participate in training and certification programs.
• Utilize manufacturer-provided diagnostic tools and equipment with proficiency.
• Assist in mentoring and supporting less experienced technicians as needed.
• Test drive vehicles to confirm proper operation and quality repairs.
