Job summary

MFA Oil Company seeks an automotive technician for Big O Tires franchise locations in Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas. The role requires at least two years of lube/tire/service experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors and safely handle materials.

You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, coach teammates, and contribute to meeting productivity and sales targets. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician.
• Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri based stores).
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors.
• Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake, front end and alignment maintenance and related mechanical work per company policies.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles and ensure quality control of shop functions.
• Train and coach other employees as directed.
• Maintain orderly flow of customer service to ensure productivity.
• Extend Big O’s Extra Care Services to all customers.
• Attend weekly store meetings on safety, policies, and product changes.
• Work with management to achieve service-related quotas and budget goals.
• Ensure information for completed work is ready for invoicing.
• Utilize outside purchase program to maximize profitability.
• Complete required training and vehicle inspection program compliance.
• Meet service, sales and productivity targets.
• Assist with adjustments and core credits processing.
• Adhere to company and position policies; perform other duties as assigned.
