Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our Bridgestone Retail Operations team in Frederick, MD.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, under guidance from experienced technicians, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. The position offers a flat‑rate, performance‑based pay model, a $3,000 sign-on bonus for those with current State Inspection certifications, and opportunities to advance ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver’s license at all times; ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance & tire repair services including oil changes, basic inspections and repairing tires.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and rotate tires as needed.
• Install parts and road test vehicles.
• Aim to obtain ASE certifications within two years (tests paid by the company).
• Technicians receive bonus for each test passed.
