Position Summary

A Technician is primarily responsible for using their experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems. A successful Technician will use leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team to increase customer care and satisfaction. The Technician will have direct interaction with customers and deliver superior service by educating them on vehicle problems and proposed solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower-level roles (Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician).
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers and employees as needed.
• Continuously update technical knowledge and skills through training.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical activities.
• Notify management of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role requires leadership in the shop, setting the pace and fostering a team-oriented environment. The following criteria will help assess your fit:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred, including A4, A5, and two from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1.
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Motivated, energetic, customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful pre-employment background check.
• Availability for flexible hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
