Position Summary

A Technician is primarily responsible for using their experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems. A successful Technician will use leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team to increase customer care and satisfaction. They will have direct interaction with customers, educating them on vehicle problems and solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower-level technicians.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Stay updated with technical training.
• Assist colleagues in technical tasks.
• Report repair issues to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop.
• Follow safety and environmental policies.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

We expect leadership, collaboration, and a team-oriented attitude. Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of automotive diagnosis and repair experience
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus two from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1)
• Section 609 certification
• State Inspection license (if applicable)
• Motivated, energetic, customer-focused
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful background check
• Availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for long periods, reach, squat, bend, and communicate effectively. Operating a vehicle and computer use are required.
