Job summary

Garden City Mazda is growing and looking for two skilled Automotive Service Technicians to join our team. You'll work on Mazda-certified or other-brand vehicles with consistent workflow, factory training, modern equipment, and opportunities to grow.

We offer 60+ hours weekly, competitive $20-$45/hour plus bonuses, 401(k), PTO, paid vacation, full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm, air-conditioned/heated shop, employee discounts, and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience required.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• NYS Inspector's License required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and diagnose the problem(s).
• Perform quality repair/maintenance meeting manufacturer standards.
• Provide time and parts estimates for repair/maintenance.
• Learn new techniques during training sessions to stay current.
• Keep shop neat and account for tools.

Job Description

Perform quality repair/maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.

• $20 - $45 per hour based on experience + bonuses
• Technicians average 60 flagged hours per week or more
• Typical earnings of $1,500 - $3,500+ per week

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and diagnose the problem(s)
• Perform quality repair/maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
• Provide an estimate of time and parts needed for repair/maintenance
• Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions to stay current with rapidly changing technology.
• Keep shop neat and account for dealership owned tools
• Other duties may be assigned according to skill level and certification

Requirements

• Previous automotive repair experience is required
• ASE Certified is a plus!
• NYS Inspector's License required

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Good work ethic and problem-solving skills
