Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Center is seeking an Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic – ASE Certified in Missouri to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will handle wheel alignments, tire services, brakes, and inspections in a fast-paced shop environment.

We offer guaranteed hours and a benefits package. Required ASE certification or 5+ years of shop experience, Missouri Inspector License or ability to obtain, valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.
• Missouri State Inspector License OR ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
• Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, suspension, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Conduct state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and collaborate with the team.
• Explain repair recommendations clearly to customers.

What Our Technicians Do

• Technicians diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• They perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, vehicle inspections, steering and suspension work, oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance.
• Technicians perform Missouri state inspections or obtain certification to do so.
• They use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine repair issues.
• Team members maintain accurate service documentation for completed work.
• Technicians work collaboratively with the team to keep the shop operating efficiently and safely.
• They provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations to customers.

What We Need

• ASE certifications OR 5+ years of automotive technician experience in a professional shop.

Work Environment

We operate in an automotive service environment where technicians are regularly standing, bending, lifting tires/equipment, working with automotive chemicals, and adapting to varying shop temperatures.
