Job summary

Cavender Nissan of Rockwall is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards. You will document work in the DMS and communicate clearly with service advisors.

Qualifications

• Energetic, motivated and punctual.
• Clean driving record and valid Texas driver's license.
• Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles using manufacturer specifications, tools, and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and labor time in the dealership management system (DMS).
• Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair findings, estimated costs, and timeframes.
• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned in clean and operational condition
