Position Summary

The Automotive Technician plays a vital role in our automotive service team. This entry-level position involves learning and developing skills in vehicle diagnosis, repair, and maintenance under the supervision of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and assisting in repairs. Customer interaction to explain services and answer questions is also part of the role. The position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment. It offers a valuable opportunity to establish a foundation in automotive repair and contribute to our team’s success. Pay Range: $15.30 - $22.95

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts and components.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 – A8 within the first two years (company covers testing fees; technicians receive bonuses for passing tests).

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes, inspections, and tire repairs.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
