Job summary

Royal Honda in Metairie, LA is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join our award-winning, high-volume service team at our brand-new facilities.

We offer $70k-$120k+ per year (commission), sign-on/moving expenses up to $5,000, yearly PTO, and company-funded Honda training. 3-5+ years of technician experience and Honda experience are required to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers if any additional service is needed and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep shop area neat and clean and document all work performed on the repair order.

Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.* Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.* Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.* Document all work performed on the repair order.* Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.* Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.* Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.* Keep shop area neat and clean.* Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
