Job summary

Royal Honda in Metairie, LA is seeking Express/Maintenance Technicians to join our high-volume service team. Entry-level pay starts at $15.00 per hour; experienced technicians earn $18.00 per flat rate hour.

We offer a Tool Assistance Program and Tuition Reimbursement, plus medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation, and opportunities for training and advancement. Must pass pre-employment testing and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Entry-level express technician role with starting pay at $15.00 per hour.
• Experience preferred for advanced positions.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic safety inspections while draining oil and refilling with the required amount of oil.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with accuracy and efficiency, following dealership and factory standards.
• Inspect/replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as directed.
• Check vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary.
• Communicate with parts to obtain needed parts and document all work on repair orders.

Requirements:

• Perform basic safety inspection while draining oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades, additional services as outlined by management
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace, or replenish as necessary.
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Understand, kept abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license
