Group 1 Automotive is actively seeking experienced Automotive Technicians (Flag/Flat-Rate) to join our Ford/Lincoln Hub City team. This role is ideal for high-performing technicians who pride themselves on quality work and consistency, with opportunities for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a flat-rate automotive technician.
• ASE certification(s) in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver license.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs.
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a flat-rate (flag) automotive technician with proven production and diagnostic ability (dealership preferred)
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance strongly preferred
• Manufacturer certifications are a strong plus!
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work anda good drivingrecord
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Mustpass backgroundcheck,MVR, and drug screening
