Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is seeking an Automotive Technician in New Hampshire. The role performs vehicle repairs and tire services independently, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include tire mounting, lube/oil/filter changes, safety inspections, and diagnosing repairs using VAST and automotive PC programs. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience with 1–3 ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• Technical degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mount, dismount, balance tires for passenger and light trucks.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, heating and cooling, and alignments using automotive tools and software.
• Produce accurate repair estimates.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness; dispose of waste properly.
• Explain repairs and value to customers and staff.
• Adhere to internal controls, policies and procedures.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Customer service focus in a retail environment
