Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service in East Bridgewater, MA, is seeking an Automotive Technician who independently repairs and services customer vehicles to high quality standards. You will perform tire mounting/balancing, lube/oil/filter changes, and safety inspections while diagnosing issues with automotive systems.

The role requires 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications and a valid driver's license. A technical degree is a plus, with opportunities to grow in a cooperative, employee-owned

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance tires and perform tire repairs.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and document results.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, heating/cooling, and alignments.
• Produce accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Communicate repair needs and value to customers and staff.
• Adhere to safety, environmental standards and company policies.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
