Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service in Hyannis, MA is seeking an Automotive Technician who will independently perform vehicle repairs and tire services while delivering top quality and customer satisfaction. The role requires 1–3 ASE certifications, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

You will diagnose vehicles, perform maintenance, brake and steering work, and prepare accurate repair estimates. Strong customer service and safe work practices are essential to succeed in this

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certifications (1-3) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance and repair tires.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, and more.
• Produce accurate repair estimates.
• Collaborate with store management to meet productivity and customer satisfaction standards.
• Adhere to safety/environmental standards and keep work area clean.
• Explain repairs and their value to customers.
• Follow internal controls and policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Skills/Knowledge
