Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service, an employee-owned company, seeks an Automotive Technician to independently perform vehicle repairs and services on customers’ vehicles while delivering high quality and satisfaction. Responsibilities include tire mounting/balancing, lube/oil/filter changes, safety inspections, and diagnostic repairs using VAST and automotive PC programs.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, 1 year experience with 1–3 ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1–3 ASE certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• A technical degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles including maintenance, brakes, steering, suspension, heating/cooling, alignment, and light tune-ups using automotive tools and software (e.g., VAST, automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates.
• Collaborate with store management to meet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Adhere to safety/environmental standards and maintain a clean work area.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Skills/Knowledge
