Job summary

Midlands Honda in Columbia, SC is seeking automotive technicians to join our high-volume service team. This role offers an earning potential of $70,000 to $120,000 per year, with commission and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

You will perform repairs per repair orders and test-drive vehicles to verify quality and safety. Candidates should have 3–5+ years of technician experience, a valid driver's license, and manufacturer experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• 3-5+ years automotive technician experience required.
• Manufacturer experience preferred.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Perform work per repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC.
• Communicate with Service Advisor regarding needed additional work and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and coordinate with parts.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?

• Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.


• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.


• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.


• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.


• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License


• 3-5+ years Automotive Technician Experience (Required)


• Manufacturer experience preferred


• Customer focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.
