Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited automotive technology program preferred.
  • 2–3 years automotive technician experience in dealership or independent shop.
  • ASE certifications or manufacturer training strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
  • Complete repairs per manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
  • Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors and provide time estimates.
  • Document work in the repair order system and maintain safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety issues.
  • Complete repairs and services per manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors to clearly explain diagnoses, recommend necessary repairs, and accurately estimate completion times.
  • Document all work performed using the dealership's repair order system.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and participate in training and certification programs.
  • Utilize manufacturer-provided diagnostic tools and equipment with proficiency.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm proper operation and quality repairs.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited automotive technology program is preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanicin a dealership or independent shop setting
  • ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific training strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Proven experience with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle systems
  • Familiarity with dealership service software and diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • European automotive experience preferred but not required
