Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service in Massachusetts is seeking an Automotive Technician to independently perform vehicle repairs and tire services, delivering high quality work and customer satisfaction. You will mount/dismount tires, perform lube/oil/filter changes, diagnose and repair systems, produce repair estimates, and communicate with customers while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance tires and perform tire repairs.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and document results.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle maintenance, brakes, steering, suspension, etc.
• Produce accurate repair estimates for customers.
• Communicate with customers and staff about repairs and value.

Job description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balances, and repairs passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
