Sullivan Tire And Auto Service in Bangor, ME, is seeking an Automotive Technician to independently repair and service customer vehicles while delivering quality and satisfaction. The role requires tire work, oil changes, and diagnostic repairs with according estimates, in a team setting that values safety and efficiency.

Applicants should have 1+ year experience with ASE certifications, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver's License is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mounts, dismounts, balances tires and performs tire service on passenger and light trucks.
• Performs lube/oil/filter changes on various cars.
• Documents vehicle safety inspections accurately.
• Diagnoses and repairs vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.
• Produces accurate repair estimates and communicates with customers about repairs and value.
• Maintains safety and environmental standards and a clean work area.
• Collaborates with management to ensure productivity and customer satisfaction.

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer's vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
