Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is seeking an Automotive Technician in Marlborough, MA. The role independently performs vehicle repairs and tire services, delivering high quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

You will conduct unsupervised diagnostics and repairs across braking, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, and perform estimates. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A technical degree is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance tires and perform tire repairs on passenger and light truck vehicles.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Document vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, alignment, and basic tune-ups using automotive tools and software (VAST).
• Produce accurate repair estimates for customer vehicles.
• Collaborate with store management to meet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards and maintain a clean work area.
• Explain repairs and value to customers and staff clearly.
• Follow internal controls and policies; perform other duties as needed.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Perform unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Work with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
