Position Summary

The Automotive Technician plays a vital role within our service team. You will learn and develop skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and assisting in repairs. Customer interaction to explain procedures and answer questions is also part of the role. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work in a fast-paced environment. It offers a foundation in automotive repair and contributes to team success.

Pay Range

$16.50 - $24.80

Responsibilities
  • Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 – A8 within two years (company pays for tests; bonuses for passing).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles.
  • Understanding of basic automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes, inspections, and tire repairs.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years automotive repair experience or vocational training.
  • A.S.E. certification or similar qualifications.
