Job Description

Job Summary

Molina MTM Pharmacy Services staff work to ensure that Molina members have access to Medicare Star medications and that these medications are used in a cost-effective and safe manner. These roles involve creating, operating, and monitoring Molina Health Plan’s pharmacy benefit programs in compliance with all federal and state laws. Responsibilities include formulary management, clinical pharmacy services such as therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen review, patient education, and medical staff interaction, as well as oversight involving performance metrics related to patient outcomes, medication safety, and medication use policies.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with Molina pharmacists on medication adherence and follow-up on adherence barriers.
• Perform outreach to members, prescribers, and pharmacies as needed.
• Develop and administer programs to enhance targeted drug utilization and identify cost-saving pharmacy practices.
• Identify and report operational issues and resource needs to management.
• Assist Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and providers in resolving prescription claim, prior authorization, or access issues.
• Explain Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers and other staff as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Required Experience/Skills: 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician, bilingual in Mandarin

Required License/Certification: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience
