Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Technical Illustrator to support documentation and training, ensuring clear visuals and accurate content. The role requires illustrating complex concepts from engineering docs and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and brand teams.

On-site at the Fremont headquarters, you’ll contribute to producing assets for user guidance and support. The ideal candidate brings a portfolio of technical illustrations, knowledge of HTML/XML and Adobe CC, and experience with

Qualifications

2 years of experience in technical illustration with knowledge of relevant illustration tools.
Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent professional experience.
A portfolio of completed illustrations, including process illustrations and use of labels/callouts.
Ability to adopt the consumer mindset and create illustrations best suited to the task.
Familiarity with Agile values and engaging end users for feedback.

Responsibilities

Gather illustration requirements from multiple stakeholders across departments.
Extract information from engineering documentation and tools (schematics, system specs, Confluence, Figma).
Ensure technical accuracy through QA and peer review processes.
Plan, track, and report work using JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet.
Document workflows using Lucidchart and PowerPoint.
Coordinate with marketing/brand to align illustrations with guidelines.
