Job summary

The Five Star Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to process state registrations, titles, and related documents. The role requires handling payoff and registration workflows for new and pre-owned vehicles, with attention to accuracy in sale prices and filings.

Candidates should have High School Diploma, automotive experience preferred, and strong organizational and customer service skills. Notary abilities are a plus; equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Process documents for state registration and ensure tax/title forms are complete.
• Manage payoffs and registrations for new and used vehicles; issue/transfer licenses.
• Submit bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to DMV or relevant agency.
• Verify forms for completeness and accuracy of sale/purchase prices.
• Maintain files on sales, prices, payments, warranties, and contracts.
• Keep titles and MSOs for inventory; prepare title work for sold vehicles and submit to DMV.
• Enter used vehicle purchases into inventory;Notary Public is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Automotive Tag & Title Experience Required
• Process documents for state registration, follow the proper paperwork and ensure that tax and title documents are also completed.
• Process all payoffs, registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles, all license plate issuing and transfers and obtain all dealer titles.
• Send bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to the appropriate agency, such as the department of motor vehicles.
• Check for completeness and signatures on all required parts of forms. Additionally, vehicle title clerks may check for accuracy of vehicle sale and purchase prices.
• Maintain a file of sales, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other pertinent information related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle.
• Maintain titles and MSO’s for inventory.
• Prepare title work for sold vehicles and submit to DMV.
• Enter used vehicle purchases into inventory.
• Notary Public a plus
