Job summary

Ford seeks an Engineering Technician in Palo Alto to prototype testing platforms (HIL Racks, Test Benches) and flash software, troubleshooting system faults. You will collaborate with software teams and technicians to build development equipment and interpret electrical schematics.

Requirements include a 2-year Automotive Technology degree or relevant experience, 3+ years in Machining/Fabricating, and familiarity with Linux, Jira, and Confluence. Hybrid on-site work four days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Linux and shell commands.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using Jira/Confluence for work tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate software and hardware testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware integration issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to build development equipment.
• Operate Lab/Shop equipment as needed.
• Track work with Jira/Atlassian tools.
