Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Systems Engineer- Vehicle Function Definition to drive systems development across requirements, analysis, and implementation for vehicle functions. You will define, implement, and maintain system specifications and collaborate with an architecture team to deliver robust controls.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and ability to work across remote sites, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/EE or related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience with automotive or similar electronic modules.
Experience with requirement management tools (DOORS, DNG, JAMA).

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of systems development from requirements to implementation.
Implement new features and functions for vehicle systems.
Build Control Function Architecture with architecture team support.
Create and maintain system/subsystem/software specs in DOORS Next Gen.
Lead/participate in peer reviews to ensure requirements compliance.
Provide technical leadership for sophisticated technology development.
Collaborate with engineers to define key functional and performance requirements.
Ensure milestones are met with quality and safety standards.
Travel up to 10% as needed.
