PACCAR engineers are seeking a Control System Engineer in Lewisville, TX to lead development of powertrain control systems across software, electrical, mechanical, and embedded domains. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, validation planning, and supplier coordination to deliver high-performing solutions.

You will work across disciplines and guide system development through the product lifecycle, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality while expanding technical and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required for engineering roles.
• At least 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience designing, developing and troubleshooting embedded systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle network architectures and CAN/J1939 protocols.
• Experience with requirements management tools and traceability.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier and engineering activities to deliver powertrain control solutions.
• Evaluate architectures, designs, and validation strategies.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch vehicle control systems.
• Lead pilot builds and vehicle integration activities.
• Develop and execute FMEA and validation plans.
