Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Systems Design Engineer in the Southfield, MI area to join a leading Automotive Supplier's Body Electronics, Systems Engineering team. You will analyze customer (OEM) system requirements and develop the system specifications for the product.

The role focuses on Functional Safety requirements and implementing the ASPICE process through design, with lifecycle tracking from concept to prototype release, and creating system test specifications using Vector/Interpid tools

Qualifications

5+ years in automotive electronics or ECU/system design.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
3+ years analyzing or writing system design requirements (PTC Integrity, DOORS, Word).
Experience with ASPICE and/or Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
Automotive body electronics knowledge (PaaK, PEPS, BCM).

Responsibilities

Analyze customer (OEM) system requirements and refine them with the customer.
Create system specifications for the product and track design, testing/validation through the lifecycle.
Implement ASPICE and Functional Safety requirements throughout product development.
Create system test specifications to validate requirements using tools like CANoe, NeoVI, Vehicle Spy.
